Re: Another year another dollar. What's your toy plan for 2022?

I'm not planning on too many TFs this year. I've been downsizing my collection a lot and only want to display so much stuff.

From the rumour list, it's mostly going be updated Beast Wars - Tarantulas, Inferno, and Dragon Megatron. IF that leader class Blitzwing happened to somehow be Animated Blitzwing, I will get him. If it's G1 Blitzwing I will likely pass. There may be the odd figure, but I don't see myself getting more than 5-10 figures in 2022.

Outside of that I've started getting into Super 7 Ultimates Thundercats. Super 7 is costly enough to eat up the money that used to go to Hasbro.

I'm curious, what from the Jurassic park amber collection, you are specifically wanting?

Very carefully picking and choosing for the same reasons people have already mentioned.

And ultimately, because the price increases are far beyond justified "cost of production/shipping", that's why Hasbro will still be like SHAREHOLDERS BE RICH BEOTCH. Sell less, but what sells costs a fuckin' small ransom.

Y'know, it'd be one thing if the Cyberverse toys werestill cheaper. But their deluxes are ALSO $30+.

Pssssst. Kids aren't spending thirty dollars on a *single* toy. So many other, better, more interesting options.

Re: Another year another dollar. What's your toy plan for 2022?

honestly, the only change might be that I get a bit less transformers. 2021 was the first time some my favourite characters were getting new toys (first time we ever had a unified scale in beast wars for a complete roster) so I got quite a lot more than usual. But 2022 has those takes I really don't care about so there will be less purchases.

why would deluxes from one line be less than an other line? Both have similar parts count. Doesn't that confirm that the price is based on margins in relation to cost?
