Maybe they're trying to be one-up BotCon's "banquet"?
If need be, I could dress it up a little. But TFCon is to nice and casual to try something like that...unless I'm wrong...

Yeah; I got the idea from seeing people dressed up at the Botcon banquets in past years.
So I have a suit (minus the shoes; I forgot to pack those) in my suitcase. My plan is to bust that out for Faction Feud onward.
Sadly I have no such thing for Plushnut to wear- though he'll be wearing a cape all weekend. Because capes are cool.

All the same, the point of wearing suits is first and foremost to have fun dressing up and being awesome by doing so. I imagine very few of us do so everyday, after all - suiting up for me is something that I enjoy doing when I get the chance to, which isn't all that often.
It's about taking something that we all know is awesome (Saturday night at TFcon) and making it even MORE awesome.

if i want to dress up, i'll go to a funeral. i don't go to tfcon to impress anyone, i go to have fun and see my friends/make some new ones
and in those teams, sure as hell won't be a slob, just sayin
