Transformers 4 Age Of Extinction Shatters Box-Office Records For 2014

Estimates are that it will total out at 1.25 billion world wide. We will see if it will actually make it or not.

2007 made just over 700 million world wide so it is already past that one.

ROTF made 836 million world wide, so it is getting close to that.

DOTM made 1.12 billion.

It may or may not get there, but the estimates above(the 1.25 billion) are based on totals from markets where it hasn't even opened as of yet(or so it said) plus it continuing along at its decreasing rates domestically for the next few weeks.

At this point world wide box office is much larger than domestic totals.

Same thing happened with the last G.I.Joe film. Did worse than the first one domestically, but sold way more worldwide.

North America was not too wild about this movie.

Some #'s DOTM was in theartes for 107 days to get to the 1 billion mark

NA sales as of 19 days rounded off. It does look like North America is dropping off a bit. definitely lower

AOE : $213,445,000.00

AOE : $ 540,000,000.00 ( 19 Days only )



Looking at the numbers I think it should break the 1 billion mark for the Box office, and hopefully beat DOTM, which would be good for the movie/franchise.


There is also DVD sales after, but with net-flix and others I'm sure this will take a hit.

Keep in mine it's not out in all markets yet. And this movie has done very well for itself. Kudos to Bay and his team. N.A seems to like sexual comedies and superhero movies right now.
