Re: Classics Prime Battle Axe WIP
I like the flail, but the ball at the end looks a little small in proportion to the chain... I know you can't really reduce the size of the chain links, but maybe if the ball were just a little bigger...
Otherwise, looks really good. No decepticon logo on this one?

Right now, its just a prototype for myself and a friend. I am looking into how to make these available to others. If you or anyone has ideas, feel free to PM me. If you saw my thread in the General TF discussion, I was looking to see if people were interested in stuff like this. Since I'm using Shapeways to have my stuff prototyped, I could let fans buy from their. The only problem is they have to paint and put together the parts as it would come in a gundam kit setup. Also, the price probably won't be cheap either.

Hmm, didn't really think about that. I'll have to paint the pieces once I get them anyways. So I'll try a 3d render first. Thanks for the suggestion!

Softimage XSI 4.2.

Yeah, it is a bit small looking. I scaled it up a bit. But in order for me to buy it off shapeways, I need to keep it cheap, lol.
To go with G1 Megatron's cartoon appearance of his flail, it needs to go in his right hand. And since the classic's scope/cannon isn't removable, that'll be 2 decepticon symbols present on that side of the body, plus with the one on his chest. But that doesn't mean I can add the con symbol to other part of this design which I haven't shown.

Very good idea! At 1st, I thought that's what Venksta was trying to do.

Good points! You think of everything, just like Dr. Magnet!

I was actually going to leave the base silver for Classics Prime, and do a chrome version for Henkei Convoy. The idea was that the base pops up from within the arm. Like in MTMTE, some of the autobot's hands would retract, and a different piece came out. Making the base for this red makes sense. The only problem is trying to match the red shade with Classics prime and henkei convoy.
------
Modeling for Megatron's flail is done. I made two bases for both hands. I don't really like the flail being on his right arm, but some people will want to see it for G1 accuracy. I think on the left hand, it'll help balance the look. One thing I didn't mention on TFW is that the translucent part is on a 5mm peg, which can easily fit in Megatron's hand.

Replacement head for Skyfall.
I tried uploading the blade part of the axe, and it keeps giving me errors. But Megatron's flail uploaded fine. And the price is pretty good too. But looks like I have to remodel Prime's axe blade again.

Re: Classics Prime Battle Axe WIP
That flail looks amazing!!
As to why you're getting errors, maybe its having trouble with the crescent shape blade. The other thing could be depending how you have it modelled, if the blades are flat from the shaft to the edge it should be good, but if its angle (like a triangle) it may be having issues reading that along with the edge...
I hope that makes some sense.
