Baby's 1st Transformer: Bumblebee

Here's my customization of the Playskool Walk'n'Ride into Bumblebee.
This is done entirely using stickers.

BEFORE:
These are stock pics, since I customized mine before assembling.

Re: Baby's 1st Transformer: Bumblebee

Here's the How-to
[Edit: I'm having computer issues, so I'll post these in installments]

Step 1: Un-Sticker

Remove the factory stickers from the front trunk cover

Size:	87.0 KB
ID:	26023

...and the rear engine swivel. There are 3 stickers on this piece;
only remove the 1 on the purple side, as this will be part of Bumblebee's Transformation.

There were some great tips in this forum for removing sticker & residue.
Thanks Dak & FreedomGundam!

Size:	81.9 KB

Step 2: Print Stickers

Print these on a sticker sheet. To get your money's worth, be sure to double your stickers in case you need replacements later.

Step 3: Apply Stickers

BumbleBee front

BumbleBee Head

Note: This piece fits on the vehicle in 1-way only, so be sure to get your orientation right before applying Bumblebee's face!

Also, notice that the flatter area is smaller than the sticker.
So you need to make cuts below the horns, & along the helmet's black cheek lines.
This allows the sticker parts to overlap so the sticker rests mostly flat on the curved plastic area.

Re: Baby's 1st Transformer: Bumblebee

That's amazing!
I'll be sure to do something like this whenever I end up having kids.

My only concern is the use of electrical tape: the adhesive is definitely far from being a permanent one, I'd be worried that it'd (soon) rub off (which it will), and that the baby will pick up the tape-remnants and put it in their mouth...

And since I didn't recall actually dropping any tips on sticker/residue-removal, I had to do a search for it. Turns out I did. Wow that post was old (5+ years ago).

Re: Baby's 1st Transformer: Bumblebee

lolz,that rocks mang!!
i love the bot mode and "insert transformation sound"
the spinner/bb face is slick too.
funny enough,i also had this exact same playskool walker thing for my little one but i ended up spray bombing certain pieces pink for her.i never thought to go the route you did and make it an actual tf character!

(i also used the rest of the pink spraypaint and hit her little-tikes wagon's wheels with it and slapped on some metallic red autobot logos on the sides)

Thanks friend!

And thanks for the tape concern. I was sure he would pick the stickers and tape and put them in his mouth.
...if he noticed them as new.

So I kept the original walk,n,ride toy hidden, until I completed the Bumblebee redeco.

Since he only saw the toy as the new version, the stickers didn't draw his attention.

So far so good!

Yah, I used your method of masking tape to stick off the residue.

And Dak's soap water clean. Both worked very well.

Thanks, mang!
And I just realized the 1st Transformation step is cranking the gear; which kinda makes a clickity Transforming sound!

I believe this walker used to come in blue, until recently.

We bought it in the summer, but TRU had a yellow version and a pink version for girls.
At 1st I was disappointed cause I liked the blue, but then I realized Bumblebee is yellow, and that the toy Transforms!
