The TFA Oil Slick appreciation thread

This toy is so awesome he deserves a thread to let people know of how awesome he is. (and because he came up in the "Brickformer?" thread)

2 solid modes, very unique, very poseable... I love it.

Re: The TFA Oil Slick appreciation thread

I don't watch Animated.
I don't collect Animated figures.
I don't have much knowledge of the Animated cartoon series and toyline.

If you haven't guessed, I'm not interested in the Animated toy line and series at all.

Despite my lack of interest and knowledge of the toy line and cartoon series, I have noticed that this "Oil Slick" figure does not appear to be very popular among Animated collectors.

Moreover, my own personal observations indicate that this figure appears to be one of the most popular "shelf warmers" on the market.

Conclusion: "Oil Slick" is facing an uphill battle in the popularity contest.

Oilslick is awesome! So much personality...hopefully we see him show up in Season 3.

He's a shelf warmer because he's a non-show character. Period.

Re: The TFA Oil Slick appreciation thread

I think Oil Slick is cool for a completely random new-mold character & toy not currently associated with the show, but when I think of my Animated collection, I almost always forget that I have him. Hopefully he'll at least get one episode dedicated to him in S3 so that becomes a little more on the radar.

Can you feel the appreciation people!?...

I like the figure too and hope to see him in the show.

I like him because he's a Chemist!
I bought him for my nephews birthday in January. I hope he likes him.

Re: The TFA Oil Slick appreciation thread

I've said this in other threads too, but Oilslick was a very nice surprise and is now one of my favorite transformer toys.

He is highly poseable, looks great in both modes, and has a unique roadwarrior style that I dig. It doesn't hurt that I have a thing for lanky toys (i.e. classics Mirage) and big claws.

Oilslick is one of the best Transformers to come along in a long time.
