To be honest, I kinda wished I waited out for HLJ this time around. There's quite a few negative threads out there about the non-existant customer service for Anime Export, and while HLJ has troubles, there's at least somebody to talk to.
I went with AE because of the price. Just so as not to put all my eggs in one basket, next year I'll try HLJ and see what the big difference is. I realize they're pretty close after shipping, but customer service needs to be at least 'there', you know? Apparently, AE doesn't even have that...mind you, they could be rumours for all I know. I'm in for like 3 MPs at least and some UW stuff with AE. I ordered UW Menasor from HLJ and the packaging was great, fast shipping...cost a few bucks more than AE but I was ok with that.
I mean, anything beats the mainland in cost but all that has to happen is one botched order with AE and you lose all the money you've saved. Add to the fact that you must pre-pay with Paypal (so you're always out of the three month window for protection, although I'm sure Paypal must have some caveats for pre-orders...they can't be complete dicks, can they?) and not with a credit card...anyways, I'm going to try HLJ next year.
