the problem with that is good luck getting any kind of insurance if the package gets lost or damaged. I had this experience with N-Y and that is the reason I went with HLJ no more lost packages and resulting in lost monies. Also Packages from overseas rarely get hit with customs had an order come from HLJ of over $1200 and was declared a full value not a thing, I had a package come form USA of about $80 got hit with customs and they opened my package and not just the package they also opened the item

There is a message to seller box during the checkout process.

Good point. Thanks for pointing that out. Proceed at your own risk.

I stand corrected it was 200 CDN to my credit card before shipping for both... Exchange and then 2.5 percent on bad exchange rate.... This is the dark days of collecting

Is there a away to do it after ordering? I had a package from bigbadtoystore, they charged me taxes + processing fee even though the package was marked as a gift.

Just order mine via NY with sea shipping. I figured that it has tracking anyway and I am in no hurry.

If you use chase credit card (like the one from Amazon), then no 2.5%. The exchange rate is better than what NY uses.

Just email NY what you want them to do with your package and they'll do it.

"Combined shipping"

I just looked at shipping cost of Shockwave at NY. It says about $32 CAD for one or $73 for two. So weird.

Re: Preoder laserwave and hotrod AE up

Most stuff I order from overseas has a lower claim amount, and I don't even ask for it. I'm pretty damn lucky nothing ever happened, but since I bought it off ebay, they'll have a record of what the purchase value was. Any paypal will have a record of the transaction. In a way, I'd feel safe even if the shipper didn't put the actual value on the package...that has nothing to do with the buyer, I didn't ask them to do it. Unless you're buying from a shady source, you open a claim and get your money back from paypal. The seller is the one who did wrong, so you can always use that in your claim with paypal.

Metro, I'm not sure what they'd do if someone like NY could produce proof that the buyer wanted it to be marked less that actual value; that might be their 'out', so to speak.

That said...I've never had an issue. Yet. I'm still waiting for like 4 MPs from AE, so we'll see how it goes.
