R.I.D. 2015 Optimus Prime vs Bludgeon Battle Pack
Got this cool little set from BBTS today, I dig it!
You get:
-1 Optimus Prime figure
-1 axe
-5 armor pieces
-1 Bludgeon Minicon figure
Optimus Prime can wear the armor pieces in robot mode on his legs, forearms and chest/face, or you can combine all the armor pieces to form a bigger weapon. Optimus can't transform back to vehicle mode with the armor pieces on but he can carry the combined weapon just like he can carry the axe (both clip between the arms more or less securely). Another cool feature, intentional or not: you can have the battle mask up or down. If it's up, it kills the head articulation though.
Speaking of articulation, it's pretty damn good, with ball jointed knees, hips and elbows. Arms can also rotate at the shoulder forward/backward and outward/inward, and the head can turn.
Truck mode is lacking with all the gaps in the mid section, but I guess they sacrificed it to improve the robot mode. Still, the transformation is decently fun, especially how the outer chest sections swing down and in from robot to truck mode.
Minicon is cute and fun to transform, but I don't have a proper Deployer (Overload) to test it right now.
