Re: Are we all Transformer or robot addicts?

I'm ok with being an addict. As long as i don't suddenly get a government job, i should fine.

Yup I'm most certainly a Transformers addict. Just transformers for me though luckily (well, and pre-transformers...)

I am. Sometimes, I look on my shelves and I feel embarrassed. I'd be f-ing rich now if it wasn't for Transformers. I don't even want to know how much I've spent on plastic crack in the past 4 years. Must be real ugly.

If it makes you feel any better, I spent a lot more than that, and I'm still a student.

I am definitely on a Plastic Crack High...

Re: Are we all Transformer or robot addicts?

Alright, I just checked my Paypal account... Since Jan. 1, I spent $6659 on f-ing robots. I-N-S-A-N-E. The good news is that I sold for $5086 in robots, cds and hockey cards. So I actually spent $1573. But I know I spent a few hundreds more in stores here. So 2K for the year... I really, really, really need to slow down. Or sell more.

Don't you lose value on those exchange rates? Actually, I don't think you lose money if the money isn't withdrawn into your account though.

Still, there's the ebay auction fees.

Maybe when considering to purchase a toy robot would be: will you break even, lose a small amount of money once you open/resell it? I'm not saying immediately flipping/scalping an item, but just along in the future, like a year or so. That strategy could possible curb one's consumerism "appetite".

Then again, that totally ignores the purpose of buying toy robots, we want to enjoy them.

I don't know how you did it! I work full-time and the $ 1,390.32 hurt my budget a little.

If my fiance found out how much I had spent, she'd freak out!

Hey, could be worse. I spend over $100 a month, most months, on 3D rendering content. At least Transformers actually exist...

Re: Are we all Transformer or robot addicts?

You guys just got me to do a quick look through of my own stuff. Almost $1400 in Transformers and Star Wars this year Now I sold about $300 worth at the last toyshow in march and will likely do atleast that at the upcoming comic con but those sales for the most part are of things I picked up before this year. Still I thought it would have been more than it is . I think I had a slow year, either that or I'm broke too much of the time.
