Re: The Scalper Annoyance Thread

Scalpers are not buying at $10 and selling at $15, they are buying at $10 and selling them at $20 - $30+ for the good ones.

Re: The Scalper Annoyance Thread

In this instance it's buying at $103.49 and selling for $250+

Granted it's a year later, but you can trace whatever perceived shortage there was in BC to this guy, and thus the faster online sellout as people in BC were forced to take away from the rest of the country.

Re: The Scalper Annoyance Thread

Maybe we all should hype up/pretend there's a high desire for those clear goat soundwaves and primes so the scalpers will eagerly by all of them up and have to keep their money locked up in stuff they can only move at a loss.

On second thought....Hasbro would be too encouraged by the sales to keep churning out redecos like those....we can't win.

For those who disagree make your own thread about scalpers being unicorns and such.

As I've said several times already Scalping exists, it can be/is a problem - but to me the bigger problem is people running around pointing fingers at innocent people that have done nothing wrong.
Is your opinion of yourself so inflated you can actually say beyond any doubt that there are next to no scalpers because you are able to somehow see all transformers journeys from the shelf to their final purchaser?

If you're not cyberstalking YOUR community, how else would you be able to offer such strong convictions?

Think about that for a second.

Im not sure how you can say that most of the time when a hard to find or exclusive item is dissapearing en masse from retail that its just boardies or collectors any more than I can say that most of the time it's just scalpers.

^

He doesn't want anyone naming names since his post is also about the danger of falsely accusing someone. That's the danger of this kind of thread.

I mean I buy tons of multiples, especially (maybe only) sale and people would probably think that I'm a scalper. I don't really care what these peeps think though.

Scalping happens accept it. Sure it sucks but we can't do anything about it. Move on.

I see that you do mods at least, so its understandable to need an extra figure, or 2, in case something doesn't turn out very well.
