MP Hasbro vs MP Takara

I've seen on either online toyshops, on the boards, eBay etc, and I noticed that Hasbro MP's are more expensive than MP Takara. Aren't Japanses MP should be more expensive than their American counterparts? I mean, if you look TRU MP Optimus Prime is more expensive than TakTomy MP Convoy.

Are u sure? Usually it's the other way around.

Hasbro MPs have all been store exclusives therefore they are more expensive for 3rd party stores to buy and in turn resell to others.

The tru version is also much much rarer of mp 10

Hasbro soundwave tends to sell for more because it includes 5 tapes, whereas takara has 1 tape and sells the other ones in 2 packs for about $60 each

It really depends on when and where you buy them. I feel like a lot of the Takara pre-orders are cheaper from the various Japanese sites.

Man this just reminded me that Road Rage got delayed ... but I guess Hot rod is Q1 so maybe I'll wait him too

If it's a "big" MP like a seeker, Soundwave, or Optimus and you're lucky enough to find one at retail Hasbro will be cheaper. If it's something like a small car MP the cheapest option is to pre-order on HLJ or some other Japanese site.

But of course stuff like Optimus will sky rocket in the aftermarket because of how quickly the stock went away at TRU.
