Nah they always said Jan 1st far as I recall.

I always renewed my Plat during the black Friday sales, so that was a happy coincidence.

I wonder what proportion of people would be able to "earn" plat status? I know I won't, since digital is cheaper for most games, and the competition for "loot" is fierce.

If you can't buy your way in, I'm hoping my last year as a Plat is going to have some sweet benefits.

I earned Platinum through TF purchases alone, but I probably would have saved a lot more money if I bothered to pay for the upgrade.

I earned Onyx through 90% Transformers and Joe purchases. So it's doable.

Yeah, same here. The trick was to not use points to renew Platinum and to just pay instead.
