Standing Desks

Do any of you use standing desks at work or home? I've been contemplating testing it out at home. Probably starting with a DIY project before investing any money into something.

If so, what are your thoughts? Any suggestions?

Re: Standing Desks

We use drafting table here at work, and when I used them I preferred to stand most the time, also my work bench at home is stand level, but I sit down to do models as I do them in the house mostly. when I used to teach fly tying we had an elbo hi bench, stood most the time there too.

It's nice to have a bar stool handy if you need a break from standing.

You could go for the Scrooge look being close to xmas

Re: Standing Desks

I use the Varidesk Pro with dual monitor capacity and the option to raise and lower if I ever feel like sitting down while I work again, which I never do anymore.

I find standing keeps me awake and "on my toes", so to speak. I did have to get a shock pad to stand on and find I'm wearing my 490 Blundstones to take the edge off standing all day, though.
