Been to Ming's a couple times. Used to go to Gabriel's a lot before our office moved.

You know, this might sound dumb to someone who lives in the area, but with the recent string of gun killings in Toronto, is the general area around the convention safe?

TFCon is incredibly far away from downtown Toronto, but even if you want to take in all the great places in the city do not worry it’s super safe. The shootings have been targeted and no one is after you, it’s all good.

Re: Staying at the Hilton: good? bad? ugly?

Here are some of the places our family enjoys.

Another Vote for Ming Room - https://www.yelp.ca/biz/ming-room-mississauga

Nearby
Union Social - https://www.yelp.ca/biz/union-social-eatery-mississauga

El Sombrero - its a hole in the wall, but the beef wet burrito is huge and great. Feeds My Wife, 2.5 yr old and my fat ass. Also the guacamole is great!.

https://www.yelp.ca/biz/el-sombrero-mississauga-3

10min south on Erin mills / Mississaua rd.

Axia - Lots of asian food choices, standard fair, Unlike Ming room which is hakka fusion. - https://www.yelp.ca/biz/axia-restaur...sauga?osq=axia

5-7 min east on 401 to Heartland area

3 Brewers - https://www.yelp.ca/biz/the-3-brewers-mississauga-2 - but your from MTL so I think you got plenty of these.

Heart sushi - all you can eat sushi - https://www.yelp.ca/biz/heart-sushi-mississauga-4

Also in Streetsville (little town inside mississauga) has lots of food options.

Burrito Boyz - https://www.yelp.ca/biz/burrito-boyz...ga?osq=burrtio

Finally you can got to https://www.insauga.com/ to check out food options in Mississauga. Lots of good information there.

Cheers,

PS - Mississauga is pretty safe, all the violence in Toronto has been targetd gang stuff.
