You guys know the year of rooster is THS Prime, right?

After year of the horse, I didn't buy any from this series.
But Transformers Hybrid Style Convoy, which is probably the only Optimus Prime mold that I didn't own.... looks like I have to give in this year.

Pretty sure you're missing tons of Optimus Prime molds you've never heard of.

Re: You guys know the year of rooster is THS Prime, right?

Couldn't tell looking at that image in the one post, but I'm prepping myself for it to be a horrible deco, like the entire figure is cast in that odd smokey gray translucent plastic that they use for tires sometimes, and he has purple and green trim. And costs $300. Those are my sad expectations.

UPDATE: Googled it. It's actually going to be...Optimus coloured. Gasp! Craziness!!

That Alt-mode is too awful for me to want it.

If it's the same size and with proper red-blue Prime colours, I'd consider it for under $30 (taxes in), but I doubt it'll be that...

That could be, I should say the major ones, doesn't count release from McDonald's or weird repaint.

You are still missing a lot of G1 Primes even if you count the major ones

Anyhow, the THS G1 Prime was released back in 2005 for ~$49.99US at the time. Making it a "Platinum Edition" series figure now doesn't mean Hasbro can put a rumored, over $100US price tag on it IMHO. At least I won't touch it even if I didn't have one.

Well the original THS-02 release incorporated die cast and rubber tires and went for $50, the same as the THS-01 Galaxy Convoy which I also bought. So I'd say little to no chance this version would be that inexpensive. I will say that in bot mode he is superbly detailed and one very cool little Optimii. The accessories are also really cool. Just absolutely love the little Roller that comes with him. I could see in todays market given price increases that up to $80 would be fair price for what you get. But I think its quite likely to be priced a fair bit higher than that.

I read the price in China is 600 RMB something, roughly 116 CAD, so MSRP here will be above 120 I guess.

Re: You guys know the year of rooster is THS Prime, right?

$50 in 2005 dollars would translate to how much in 2016 dollars?

EDIT: Nevermind, this site says about $60.

Re: You guys know the year of rooster is THS Prime, right?

How about instead of wasting time reissuing old figures at super inflated prices under the Platinum Edition banner, Hasbro works on getting more Masterpiece figures released in North America?
