Re: TFcon 2013 Charity Project (Group B): Enter the Vehicons!
Started doing the detailed parts of Strika's painting. I'm feeling pretty confident now and should have her completed in a matter of days, as long as I don't continually have to do touch ups.

Great job, you were worried earlier, can't wait to see a finsihed painted shot.
I know how you feel about touch-ups once you start to put it back together something always nicks the paint or you find a missed bit
I let my base primer sit a good 2 weeks to harden and my top coat 3 weeks, nothings worse than picking up a painted model and leaving a dirty great big thumb pnit on the side.
Should be able able to post finished shots of Thrust by the weekend if I get him together.
Did a bad thing and kind of started on the next TFCON charity vehicon already, before completley finishing Thrust.

You guys are braver than I am. I wouldn't dare tackle another vehicon right now because I just don't have time. I gotta get Strika done with enough time to spare to get her shipped out to Mal so he can take her to TFcon.

Luckly the next one is an easy mod with some kibble, need to get it to paint this weekend, so it has a chance to dry, don't want a tacky TF at TCON

Love the Vehicon mode now, Tail looks great, looks really good Mumps.
How about a double knuckle ball joint to tuck it behind the body.

Kibble doesn't automatically equal bad, Mumps, it's all about how the figure carries it. Some characters can rock a kibbley look. Once you get some paint on Obsidian it will all come together and blow people away.

Agreed on both ponits,
IMO I don't mind Kibble especially if it improve the look.
Would prefer it to having a part of a the roof, Door and Fender attached to a forearm, lets say like BH Smokesream. Thats why I took the doors of and part formed them on the back
