Regular vs Premium ticket

First time attendee. Buying the ticket now. I know it's only $10 in difference, but is there any difference other than premium ticker holders get to the dealer's room earlier?

Also, it says all tickets are available at door, but I guess I should buy tickets online so I won't need to wait at the door?

Thanks!

I think early entrance is the only difference. Not sure if you can buy premium tickets at the door.

Re: Regular vs Premium ticket

You still wait in line, though, regardless what pass you have, or how you purchased it.

If you bought online, you just line up at the entrance and wait (for early admission or regular admission)

If you buy at the door, you then turn around and go stand at the back of the line, and wait (for early admission or regular admission)

There has never been a line-up for me to actually buy the ticket. Maybe, two to three people, at most, and it moves super fast. And I've always arrived anywhere between 10min-60min before early admission. I guess a lot of people buy in advance, online, so I've never had wait times when buying in person.

Hope that helps!

Ah. I never remember that part about the line being for people who already have admission.

The earliest I can get there is 8:35/8:40am. I wonder if coming that late is even worth it VS general admission at 10am. I do seem to recall that the line for early admission starts super early and is really long.
{and I don't know of any dealers who are an obvious big attraction like the Japanese table at BotCon.}

Re: Regular vs Premium ticket

My girlfriend and I are just looking to come on Saturday morning to get in at 9am, but wanted to buy our tickets there, so should we get there around 8:30, would that be fine to get in early? Only reason we're coming early is because we have other plans for the weekend and she doesn't want to be there too long.

The Fansproject table is usually the one to go to, sometimes a nice exclusive is there and so are some copies of their older releases that you may have trouble getting for a reasonable price. We'll see who else steps up this year.

You should be good with that timing, yes.

I would say if you're not rushing to get something in the dealer room before anyone else does, there's not much rush to come early. The line forms fairly early {at least an hour for good position} and I don't think it takes too long for the line to empty. Anyone with better memory on this?
but if 30 minutes early won't hurt you, sure.

I haven't seen the availability of older releases, but last year there wasn't much rush to get the exclusives.

and I'm not really looking for older releases. I had wanted some affordable insecticons and a below-retail used stunticon set but now I dunno. While it's hard to compare it to sub-par CW stunticons, it's made an affordable alternative, and now I want something better.

The thing about the Japanese table at BotCon was it often had stuff much cheaper to get than importing through other channels, and often exclusives too. I got my black Nitro Convoy there. They sold out and later got more, and because I kept checking back, I got one.
It's really hard to get good deals on rare stuff. While not from the Japanese table, one year I got Killer Punch unopened for a ridiculously cheap price. I was so psyched, because I never would have paid the market price for one, and wouldn't have had the figure otherwise.
