Re: Repair Thread
Hmm...perhaps someone with an Alternity prime can compare the pics to theirs, see if there is something wrong?
I'm sure there must be a few members on here who have Alternity Prime.
You mentioned a piece did snap off near the top, maybe there was something else that "pulled" the rectangle into place. That might be your issue. Not sure if it's fixable though if you can't access that spot.

Re: Repair Thread
Thanks again for trying to help, I really appreciate it.
But I think the piece that broke off was only used to keep the stomach 90 degrees in robot mode, since the column in the middle (the part outlined green) moves up and down so when you fold the front half of the car it moves changing the placement of the groves/holes propping the stomach piece up with the piece I broke off.

Depends on the problem. Mine did the same thing because it was warped slightly out of shape. I disassembled him (watch out, there's a spring that goes flying when you open him up). I used a hair dryer (1500 watts), to heat up the plastic, then I bent it back into the proper shape, and let it cool. Reassembled and it's good to go for another 1,000 ejects.

Yeah, to clarify the issue with mine was it was no longer "square" and so the little latch that should release was sticking as a result. If that's your issue, you might be able to bend it back properly too.
I recommend looking at the mechanism and seeing what's going wrong. Understand it before you take it apart. Then take pictures as you take it apart, so you remember how to put it back together. :-p

Leader Brawl.
I need help disassembling his feet and ... I guess swapping them, so that he can stand flat-footed with his legs apart.
Any takers?

Re: Repair Thread
Hi all, this thread is a great idea. I've recently started trying to repair some of my more battle damaged bots, and the fella I'm looking at now is G1 Fireflight. I have two of these figures, but neither is perfect, they're both a little busted in different ways. Anyway, a screwdriver has helped me mostly get one perfect one, but one problem remains, a crack in one of his wings. The wing on the other one is still perfect, but I've no idea how to disassemble them. They seem to be held in by a long pin, has anyone been able to take one of these off? Thanks in advance for any help

Re: Repair Thread
using a soldering iron just on the end of the pin that is scratched will heat up the plastic just enough to push it out from the other end
