I think they're trying to appeal more to a certain price point and demographic. It may seem like just a few extra dollars to you, but for some, like parents of children, it's enough to put them off of buying this for their kids.

I think Hasbro is trying to err on the side of getting these in the hands of more kids because the collectors who are going to pick these up aren't going to be dissuaded by a few less perks.

Also it's about how much more they gain in dollars per what they add to the figure. If the dollars don't make sense, well... they're a business after all.

It's not MP. But in many ways I think Takara is using CHUG as a testing ground for MP. Like Generations/RTS/United Wheeljack and Tracks before their MP came out.

I have a family and two kids but im sure not many kids are going to get this at 179.00 ish a pop and re working the bots a little more and charging a bit more will not change anything or parents minds.
