Re: Transformers Masterpiece Grimlock Released at Canadian Retail
The hips on mine weren't floppy by any means, not like Generations Rhinox. They're solid enough for any two-legged pose. The only really worrisome issue out of the box was the extreme tightness of the knees. They felt like the plastic would snap before the joint would turn. But it was a simple fix to loosen the screws with a screwdriver.
All in all, a very impressive figure in hand.

Re: Transformers Masterpiece Grimlock Released at Canadian Retail
Well thanks for jerking me around TRU. Looks like I have to get CS on the phone to, hopefully, fix my missing order.

Re: Transformers Masterpiece Grimlock Released at Canadian Retail
I got mine yesterday, they shipped in the Hasbro box which is great cause it's sturdy and no damage to the inner MP box. Like the rest his hips are bit loose. The plastic is definitely lighter and looks very flat grey. Also the translucent parts do have a greenish tinge as opposed to copper. If I paid $99 for this I wouldn't be to happy but since I got it on sale it's an OK substitute for the Takara or 1st Hasbro release.

Re: Transformers Masterpiece Grimlock Released at Canadian Retail
Seems loose hips and stiff knees are really common on this guy. I still love it, but does anyone else have trouble with the leg activated head movement? Mine doesn't seem to want to do it. He's fit together tight, but is there something maybe out of alignment inside? It's not a deal breaker but I'd like to know. Did have one small QC issue, had to use a razor to shave off some extra plastic on the seam of his left elbow. Still happy to have him though, even if I did pay full price.

Re: Transformers Masterpiece Grimlock Released at Canadian Retail
Got him this week and he's definitely inferior to the MP8 version and the initial TRU run.
However, at a $75 sale price, he's worth it at that price. I'm still glad I have the original versions (both MP8 and the 1st TRU versions).
I guess the mold deteriorated after so many releases of this great figure.
And like others mentioned, the hips are loose and the grey plastic is cheap looking like a KO.

Still no sign of him in Ottawa. Anyone willing to send him my way?
