Umm ... it's called Teletoon RETRO for a reason. Updating the graphics on any of the shows would contradict the entire point of the channel.

Anyway, it's cool to see Alvin and the Chipmunks (I loved that show when I was a kid!) and Reboot will be on in September. I'm not sure if Reboot can technically be considered "retro", but hey, if Reboot's on board, maybe Beast Wars isn't far behind.

Also, forget He-Man! I'd rather see She-ra!

Does Reboot allow them to address their CRTC canadian content quota?

Anything over ten years old is meets the conditions for Retro. Gradually there will be more shows from the 80's then the 90's etc.

Re: Transformers Generation 1 Back on Television?

I wonder if the episodes will be in the original format or that stupid G2 "cube" format that was so darn annoying...

I'm sure you know the one I'm talking about, with the cube that would be used for transitions?

Ugh, I HATE the stupid Cube! That's the reason why I didn't like Transformers that much as a kid.

I really hope Teletoon Retro's smarter than to use that format!

Re: Transformers Generation 1 Back on Television?

I'm just starting to watch Season 3 on the Rhino DVD collection and am feeling a bit nostalgic. It would be great if G1 was on TV again.

Re: Transformers Generation 1 Back on Television?

YAY someone else remembers silverhawks.!!

over the years i've mentioned that show and how much i loved it to people and all of them were like "silverhawks>?? wtf is that never heard of it."

i would kill if they brought that show out on dvd. i bought a "supposed" legit set 1 of 2 silverhawks dvd set on ebay. and the box does look legit. but it obviously wasn't cause never found the second half.

lol about the transformers dvds. when i finally got all the sets i sat down and watched them all back to back. other then working in between watching episodes. LOVED it. brought me back to when i saw the actual episodes on t.v.

could actually remember what i was doing or where i was when originally saw it on t.v. was great.

Silver Hawks, Insectoids, Thundercats, Dungeons and Dragons....man the memories.

Bit of worthless trivia: When Star Wars A New Hope first aired on TV, I taped it and watched it like 500 times(on Beta ). It had an Insectiods toy ad at every commercial break. I knew that damn commercial by heart for a long time.....

It is a retro station, my dear

I'm pretty sure that kids todays will say the same thing 20+ years down the road when they discuss TF Animated and TF '07 Movie
