GPS with Protoform SS?
I was just wondering if there have been any reported cases of Gold Plastic Syndrome with Movie Protoform Starscream. Do you think it has been improved by Hasbro so that now the plastic is tougher?

Re: GPS with Protoform SS?
i dont think ive seen or heard horror stories yet of gps happening on the proto ss yet.but then again imo i think hasbro improved their "mixing" process as its not too often you see "swirls" in bots anymore.that coupled with the fact that most of the ones that had extreme gps (g1 monstructor ,g1 decepticon megapretender, black zarak, etc)are all more than 20 plus years old.

I hope not. Could you imagine 20 years from now one of the most hated TFs from the movie line becoming the rarest and most sought after.

Didn't this happen with Wheelie? Or do we still hate him?

Re: GPS with Protoform SS?
The last Transformer officially released by Hasbro/Takara to suffer from GPS was Beast Wars Grimlock in late 1997/early 1998, everything after that has been more top notch in terms of molded gold plastic quality.

I have to disagree, the LAST Hasbro product that has suffered from GPS is TM Megatron, but the Takara version does not.

TM Megatron has the one rare case of BROWN Plastic problems and it varies from person to person, like how some TM toys don't have chrome problems but others do.
