Re: knock offs?

Okay, I was at TFCon this weekend, and my boyfriend bought me a cassette-two pack, "Frenzy" and "Laserbeak", which were cast in clear plastic.

They had the proper stickers and rubsigns, so are these knockoffs or not? I'm not sure

Re: knock offs?

The clear plastic tapes are probly knockoffs.

I have a red Browning KO, looks pretty nice, but the orange plastic guns it comes with looks silly on him.

I got a vintage KO Bonecrusher at TFCon. The awesome thing is that it works with genuine constructicon parts and limbs. 3 more limbs till my rainbow devastator is complete!

Okay then. They may be knockoffs, but they are still members of Soundwave's Cassette Army. I'm happy.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Yaaay Knock-offs! I love threads like this!

Incidentally, last summer, I saw that same giant Bendy Prime KO for sale in Toronto's Chinatown for about $12 or so. I was spending a lot of money on other stuff, so I passed on it, but I really wished I'd bought it now.

How is it, quality-wise? I mean, obviously it's a KO, but how does it stand up in that context?

Re: knock offs?

This will definitely sound childish, but the only reason I'd buy knockoffs is to use them for gun fodder in a game. Yeah, I actually play with my TF's

They're knockoffs, but they're of surprisingly good quality. They're definitely a good addition to your collection if you were looking for cassettes.

Re: knock offs?

Those in the know about Brave probably know about good ol' Build Kitty. He's one of the most unique knockoffs I've got.

I also have a BW Tripredacus knockoff, all correct colours, but made out of plastic that feels like shampoo bottle material. From a blue-carded line called SAVAGERY BRAVE.

The more cassettes my Soundwave has to take over the Decepticons with, the better

I was thinking of naming and repainting my knockoff cassettes. "Static" for the Rumble/Frenzy mold, I'm not sure what colours to use yet. Anyone have any ideas for names/colour schemes for the Laserbeak/Buzzsaw mold?

Re: knock offs?

I really like the clear. Call him "white noise".
