Would you like a Gift Receipt with that?

Im 17. Not that old. Not that young.

I swear, everytime I buy something at TRU that happens to be a toy, i'm asked if I want to have a gift receipt with that.

Like wtf? I know I don't have a little brother or sister in my hand, so that gets rid of the idea of the toy being for them. And seeing as im at the age where Im not old enough to be a parent.. and not young enough to buy toys.. I get strange looks from the clerks.

Is toy collecting simply a rarity these days? Has anyone have the same experience?

Me too. But one time, a TRU clerk asked me "Are you a collector?"

I know exactly how you feel. I'm 15, and I always get the same treatment. Like holy shit let me buy the toys and get out of this hellishly crowded store.

Well I'm 13, not sure if that's too old to buy toys. Most of my friends minus one don't really think that good about toys, but I don't really give a slag.

I wouldn't take offense. I think they may be required to say that to you every time you buy.

They are required to ask if you want a gift receipt. Lets face it, what you are buying COULD be a gift. They don't know that, regardless of your age.

Honestly, I wouldn't take it personally, they ask everyone if they want one.

ive been told once that there is a limit and i had exceeded it luckily i had a friend with me to help me out

lol.. i never got questioned. well, I usually buy my toys either in Anime store or Walmart self check out...
