That's a good question. Especially since I don't consider characters with the same name to be the same characters. So while it would be easy to just say someone like Optimus Prime, I don't consider every Optimus Prime to be the same character. G1, RiD, Armada, Animated, Movie, and Shattered Glass are all separate in my mind.
