Re: Do you ever NOT look?

Nah.

I don't bother unless I know something new is out.

And honestly, I've wasted too much time in the last few years with "The Hunt". If I find the stuff great, if not newer figure are usually available in droves 2-3 weeks after they first start showing up.

I only end up at Toys R Us about every 3 or 4 months. I usually wait till something shows up at Wal-Mart to save a buck or two.

I always tend to check out the toy sections when I'm in the states though, just usually because they have different/better stock.

Cheers!

Re: Do you ever NOT look?

I always check. EVERY time. Even when there has not been a new sighting for over a month (ie the last 2 months).

Worst part is, when I find nothing... I get just a little sad

Re: Do you ever NOT look?

I didn't check these boards, or anywhere online before about a month ago, so I would make runs around the Edmonton area at least once a week, stopping at any store that might have had toys. With the sightings thread, I only check my local WM and the West end TRU on my weekly comic run. It's saved me so much on gas that I can put towards more toys. Thanks, Sightings thread!

i check 3 or 4 walmarts almost every day. oak, burl and waterdown...plus TRU 2- 3 times a week, and 2 zellers 2-3 times a week, canadian superstore 2-3 times a week. and the ancaster walmart 1 every 2 weeks, value village 3-4 times a week and another one twice a week. Re: Do you ever NOT look?

Every time I go into a Wal-Mart, I check the toy aisle. As for TRU, that's the main reason I go there.

I will have to admit the sightings thread has helped with my ADD. Thanks to the ADD of the other collectors here, the south is pretty much covered... hell the whole city is pretty much covered. I have saved many a trip thanks to them.

Re: Do you ever NOT look?

jourdo my friend, you hit this nail right on the head.
i honestly don't think there was a single time yet that i haven't somehow someway found myself migrating to the toy isles.alot of times it's with the excuse of "o.k. honey, you go grab what you need and i'll go grab such and such",which is usually something very close to the toy section
then i get the nasty text from her that usually goes along the lines of "where the f are you?"

Re: Do you ever NOT look?

I always swing through the toy section on my regular shopping route; usually on my way out to pay for the groceries.
