Storage Ideas? I'm Running out of Space!
Well, we all have this problem, so does anyone have any tips?
I recently stored a few boxes in the top of my garage. Most of the items were sealed, I hope the varying temperature/humidity won't ruin the boxes.
I was also thinking of the attic, is that was a better idea, but like most people, mine isn't furnished/insulated, so it can get horribly hot or cold there, depending on the season.
So it's basically...choose your poison.
I just packing up the TFs in a cardboard box, should I be adding insulation (foam/bubblewrap) for additional protection?
'Appreciate any thoughts/tips.

Re: Storage Ideas? I'm Running out of Space!
Send them on over to my house i'll have 2 empty bedrooms to put them on display !!!
But seriously, it depends how well insulated the garage is...which ever room is above to the garage or beside it...does it get cold in the winter ? If it does odds are it's not protected very well.
Definately though stay away from the attic...it changes temperatures up there like a mofo and would not fare well for toys.

It's made of cinderblock, so I don't know how well insulated it is.
I was up the garage this Thanksgiving though, it was definitely hotter than usual.
Guess I'll have to move the stuff somewhere else...

Re: Storage Ideas? I'm Running out of Space!
I store my figures both MISB and loose in two closets, one a walk-in in my bedroom and the other is the top shelf of the linen closet just outside my room. "thanks mom" I would never store my figures in the garage or the attic, unless they where properly finished, that means insulated, vapor barrier, and dry walled.

Burn everything else, and you'll have lots of room to display your TF's.

I've started using those flat, wheeled, rubbermaids designed for use under beds. Not sure if that's an option for you or not but its surprising exactly how much you can fit under a king size.

Re: Storage Ideas? I'm Running out of Space!
In the last 12 months, I've parted with about 200 TFs mostly due to space issues. I'm at a point where I don't want to sell what I have left, so I've decided to get rid of all north-American packaging, and keeping Japanese/reissue items in their boxes.
There comes a time where you have to ask youself if you collect to sell them later or if you collect because you enjoy the toys. If your answer is toys, do your really, rellay need the packaging?
Food for thought.
