What are peoples opinions on MP Rodimus?

It looks really pretty, but don't ever touch it! It's so over engineered and fragile that I almost think that being able to transform was a secondary concern when they designed it.

And no, I wouldn't want an overpriced 3P not-Rodimus. What I want is for Has/Tak to take another whack at this guy and just focus on making it either Hot Rod or Rodimus Prime, not both.

I'm not a great transformer and have transformed my loose Hasbro one 10 or more times.

I had to return 2 that were broken out of box (shoulder) before getting this one.

I think that the defective ones are awful but the others are actually better than perceived.

I really, really wish I had a trailer for him though.

I own both takara mp9 and 9b and as above scared as hell to play with them but my god, seeing I have mp09 in bot mod and 9b in car mode they stand up to their name MASTERPEICE. Some day we may see a to scale version I think, but its best to leave him up to 3rd party to have a swing at him.

My toyrus rodimus had the same issue.
I transformed it once and left it for display.
then a few months later, one day, i decided to transfororm it again, and one of his shoulder just broke off, I didn't use any force when transformering , it' just broke off. I had to contact hasbro and reported this defect to them, they seem to be aware of it, they ask me to mail the toy back, (they paid for shipping) and they refunded me the full amount that i paid.

Looks fantastic in both modes. Articulation is strange and the transformation could use some work, but the Hot Rod to Rodimus Prime gimmick is neat.

LOOKS great behind plastic on my shelf, my boy cracked open his TAK with trailer looks great. Couldn't ask for a better representation !
