What do you think Warpath's repaint is or is Warpath the repaint??

Yesterday my son saw and was admiring my Henkei Cyclonus I got from TFCon and asked what the robot name of his gun was so I told him he was a Target Master named Nightstick. So next question is how'd they make target masters? So I grab the Matrix Box set, pull out disk 15 and throw it in the dvd player and we watch The Rebirth. While I was watching I noticed how much Generations Warpath looked a bit like Hardhead. So I got thinking and was looking a little more closely at my Warpath's instructions tonight when in box 11 I see what looks like Hardhead's head. So on to here and TFW2005 to see if this was discussed before bringing it up here and making a fool of myself. Anyway I saw it was discussed on TFW back in March but not here (at least in how I searched for it, if it is on here please blow up this thread, thanks). I missed it because I was in negotiations at the time and cut off from the world. So now looking at everything and comparing everything my thought is that Warpath is actually the repaint and Hardhead (if he is released) is the original. I really see Hardhead in this mould now more than Warpath since watching the episode. Has anything like this happened to you where some form of media has changed your perception of a toy (minus reviews)? (hello all you children, any broken Sentinel Prime toys out there?) It wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened where the secondary character design is released first.

So who do you think is the repaint? Warparth or Hardhead or will he be called someone else? Discuss!

Yeah. Hardhead has been all but confirmed to be the repaint for Warpath. Much like Black Shadow and Junkheap, we'll see him once Generations starts up again.

Personally, I don't like either characters use of the mold. Warpath was a Mini-Bot. So, to me at least, the Legends version is more true to his origins. But then again, Bumblebee and Cliffjumper also received Deluxe figures, so why not, I guess.

Hardhead? No thanks. I have my Classics Hardhead. Universe Hardhead with Hothead upgrade set.

I like the idea of Hardhead in this mould, I'll pick it up when it comes out if the colours are right and if Hasbro doesn't nail it right then I'll hope for Takara to do it and then I'll hope a 3rd party goes for the challenge of making a headmaster for a deluxe size figure.

If you ignore the chest cannon, he really nails the look of the original Hardhead, Even more than the Universe Onslaught repaint.
