What era were you most sad to see end?

Inspired by GMFan's photos "End of an era?" (in the photos thread) I raise the question, which TF Era were you most sad to see come to end?

For me, even though I am a geewun'r at heart I can't actually remember the end of G1 seeing as by '93 I had outgrown TFs. Anything after up until 2009 I wasn't a collector so I have no real knowledge or appreciation for the other lines. (yet)

So my choice has to be Transformers Animated, even though I didnt start watching it til after it was cancelled. By season 3 I was in love with the story and the toys. I managed to amass the entire toy line minus unneeded repaints within a year. Sadly it came to an end much too early. We might get the remaining toys eventually thru exclusivity but no season 4 which could have been epic.

What do you guys miss most?

I agree with animated. I was a little late as a child of 86 to be missing g1 as much as I loved it. I would love to see more animated.

Beast Wars...not so much Beast Era but Beast Wars itself.

I remember when YTV announced the last episode of Beast Wars I was like...... D: andhugged my ultra class Primal and Megs and then huddled with the rest of my collection.

G1, it was always #1 for me.

Beast Era (Pre-Beast Machines), would be second for me.

Animated. I don't really connect with the end of G1, I was young and I don't think it really occurred to me til years later that Season 3 was the relative end of it.

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?

Seeing as everything up to RID ended before I became a TF fan, and that the Unicron trilogy had its long run, I have to say Animated without a doubt. That series had so much potential, and so much left to explore. It ended before its time, and sooner than I had expected.

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?

i'm pretty much right where razin is... i watched animated front to back in like 2 weeks AFTER it was cancelled, and just FELL IN LOVE. i was getting more and more anxious coming up to the last episode and was just so bummed it was the last one when i was done... hence why i'm so quick to just throw my money at the ebay jerks for the botcon toys right now ughhhh
