Post/list your Transformers Purchases for 2024!

I have Thundertron on pre-order, and so far nothing else is of interest outside of maybe Tidal Wave, but I'm not sold on him.

There's really nothing leaked or stated as upcoming that has managed to get my interest, even 3rd parties outside of Dr. Wu stuff, there's nothing.

I feel like we've reached a point where we have proper versions for so many that it's now more about the odd figures.

I really feel that I may be done outside of a very small number of ad-hoc ones, but due to health and related factors, there's other priorities plus the reality that my collection has reached a crazy level with 95% or more needing to be stored due to lack of display space.

January:
Scrapheap - always remember getting Wreck-Gar as a kid, so it's been a lot of fun getting new Junkions over the last little bit

08/01 - SS86 Rumble from eBay. I doubt we're ever going to see him on the pegs at stores, so I bit the bullet and snagged one at a semi-decent price

12/01 - Core Class Bouldercrash. Said to myself I wasn't going to grab the Infernac universe ones, but I saw this guy, and saw him on the shelf and figured why not!

March:

03/03 - Had a couple of drinks, bought WFC Kingdom Cyclonus and Studio Series 86 Scourge off of eBay. Next up is tracking down a Sweep or two

I have always loved this Sideshow collectibles print of optimus prime. The design, painting and shot selection is flawless. I have had this as desktop screensavers for years.



My Transformers play has moved away from toys towards art.

Just found that Toynado.ca is listing a pre-order for a batch of Legacy Core Snarls that are supposed to be out this month. $22 isn't too out of whack with MSRP so I bit the bullet and am gambling that they'll come through given that he seems impossible to find elsewhere (comparatively Amazon has stuck the "we don't know if we're getting more" tag on their listing which is usually a good sign it's not coming back there). Also picked up Crashbar since I never got one in stores and it's on sale for a few bucks off (and getting 2 figures defrays the shipping cost a bit so I don't have to feel like buying Snarl costs almost as much in S&H as it does for the figure itself)


never bought from Toynado but there was a review of it on here that said it worked out OK plus I did it with paypal so it should be easy to dispute if things go sideways.


For the rest of the year there are a few Legacy bots I still want and I'm for sure in on SS86 Swoop if he's out this year. I am finding myself slowing down though. I don't plan on going for either of the two official big-ticket items this year, Haslab Omega Prime or Titan Tidal Wave. That Commander Class Magmatron is probably going to be the one thing I buy that's $100 or more. Even this year's CHUG leaders revealed so far are less appealing to me, with only Tigerhawk warranting a purchase.
