Re: Sony Xperia?

Yeah, read about it a little bit earlier. Looks nice. But it is a Sony Ericsson so it won't be cheap I think I will stick with my SE W810i until it dies

Too bad it doesn't has a built-in GPS receiver like the HTC Touch, some of the Blackberries and the iPhone 3G. I couldn't imagine why Sony won't put one in as it seems to be a feature included in a lot of new smart phones these days and can be handy. Just think of the GPS street/driving map apps and all other location based services you can do with it.

Re: Sony Xperia?

im not sure if this means GPS but on this page http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/prod...x1?cc=us&lc=en it says aGPS under the connectivity I hope there is. Do you think Rogers is going to have it in Canada?

No, it means your location is deduced by what cell site you are connected to on the cellular network. I would prefer a GPS receiver inside the smart phone such that even if I lost signal I can use the function.

I don't know if Rogers is going to import this for Canada or not. You can prob. import an unlocked one from somewhere else later or buy from one of those unlocked phone importers online. You may want to see if you can sign on to the revised 6GB limit data plan that they are offering to iPhone subscribers before the end of August if you plan on using the data capability with the new Sony smart phone.
