Re: $70 G1 Optimus

Scalpers always have the option to return purchases. So if their buys go on sale, or if the investment becomes a fail, they can either recoup the sale price difference or get their $ back, all the while holding it in inventory as well as depleting supply.

This is why I bought up 30 of these to sell for 225 each.
If I return any, I'm bashing corners and folding packaging.

Of course I don't mean that but that's how these wascally wabbits devalue stock and keep theirs golden

Re: $70 G1 Optimus

$70 feels like a lot but when you use the inflation calculator (only in us funds) it comes out to pretty much the price it was in 1984 from the Sears catalogues from 1984. I think a lot of people forget that Transformers in the 1980’s were not cheap back then and that’s why GoBots did so well for a short time because they were a cheaper price point then Transformers and capitalized on it.

I have a MISB WFC Amazon exclusive Greenlight with the case box that it came in from Amazon and I would like to do cash and trade for a MISB transformer that I am looking for and I can send pics. I would prefer a local sale in the Metro Vancouver area.

Re: $70 G1 Optimus

I saw a G1 Optimus Prime at a collector shop the other day. People forget how small and simplistic this figure is. Yes, he's iconic AF, but I would never buy one today (especially with NO TRAILER) when Siege Voyager OP is available at just over half the price and is quantum leaps more advanced in design and articulation.

Other then not having his trailer which was a cheap skate move by Hasbro and Walmart the price would be the same with inflation
