Re: Robotech, Jetfire and how they came to be one....
MP Jetfire is not coming. Look up Harmony Gold vs Big West. Then HG vs Hasbro for the recent homage repaint of the sky striker. HG will block anything that looks like the Valkyrie.
MP Skyfire though is free and clear of that mess. If they wanted to do a MP of that that's possible.

No doubt you are right about HG, I sort of see them both as the same guy. So Skyfire will work for me too.

Re: Robotech, Jetfire and how they came to be one....
Masterpiece all seem to have funny names anyways. As long as they are cartoon accurate, they can call them polemon or santa clause. Cause I'm going to call them by their names I'm used to anyways haha

Yeah those are great. Careful though, watch too many and you'll be chanting "Diakrone" for days.

My brother built and spray-painted a Bandai Macross VF-1S kit into Jetfire. I can post some pictures later after I talked to him.

Re: Robotech, Jetfire and how they came to be one....
The mere thought of MP Jetfire gets me STOKED!...
But then, the question: do they make it look like the cartoon? Or the toy?
I'm torn, because as much as I am for toon accuracy, Jetfire is the one case where I like the toy aesthetic better. Perhaps they could do the mask, like with Generations Jetfire. Having the toy visor, cool as it looks, just wouldn't fit the MP aesthetic IMO.
But even the jet mode for Skyfire in the toon doesn't look like an F14. I couldn't even tell ya what it's SUPPOSED to look like in the toon, lol...it's pretty hokey, although I really dig the character.
MP Jetfire...or MP Skyfire? Either or, Takara has my money.

Re: Robotech, Jetfire and how they came to be one....
Personally I would want the toon version, just because I am going for a cartoon accurate collection. I like both versions however, but I feel like the original G1/Macross die cast version is already spot on for that version.

If you are looking for MP level toy version of Jetfire, then just buy the latest macross arcadia vf-1, the quality is probably better than most of the MP. Like the one below. All you need is put on a autobot logo.
