Re: Price hike for 2020?

I recently go back to building Gunpla and plastic models in general... the more I think about the price hike it means more money freed up for kits, supplies, etc. Thanks Walmart, Hasbro, etc!

The only thing I will definitely buy might be Scorponok, Snapdragon and Double Dealer from Earthrise. The rest I am not so sure.

Re: Price hike for 2020?

Honestly, it sounds like Wal-Mart is taking the piss. I can go to LEGO's online site and pick up any set direct from LEGO for MSRP, why buy inflated prices at Wal-Mart Canada?

And Transformers, Transformers is easy enough to find elsewhere. I'll probably get more stuff from BBTS, even with the Paypal Prices it'll be cheaper than fucking giving it to Wal-Mart.

These idiots didn't even stock the 35th Anniversary figures that they were supposed to. At least I never saw them. They tried the same BS with Power of the Primes, but TRU Canada kept their prices the same and didn't make a stupid idea permanent.

Unless I'm remembering that time wrong. And Amazon doesn't seem to have a huge problem discounting items at times.

I'll probably stop after Earthrise at this rate though, especially if Amazon cancels my pre-orders at the old prices and forces me to re-order them with the new prices. Then I'll jump over to BBTS for my fix for a time and leave it at that.

We never got them here either, and not much past wave 1 or 2 either. They just put out more Hounds last week.

I thought PotP was bad, but this has been much worse. Couldnt pick up hardly anything at all without going online.

So did I, Xmas this wear was a selection of gunpla kits. I used to build Warhammer but that community died. So I figured I can still build models and these are cheaper than Warhammer. I hadnt built a Gundam kit in years.

If Scorponok ends of up being this years Titan I'll be in for that one probably.

Re: Price hike for 2020?

The only good thing about the price increases is that less peeps will buy @ regular price which hopefully will force stores to put figures on clearance more. Am I wrong with this statement ? Just a thought.
