Found this guy at WallyWorld the shelves were all BB and CJ's. My shelves I mean the one peg that had TFPRiD figues. Really wanted to find a SW

My recent haul consisted of RID Wheeljack, Soundwave, Animated Leader Megatron, and RID Voyager Megatron.

He does have quite the transformation, I love his leg transformation and unlike most people I like the wind-shield arms. But I hate his feet, they don't have enough articulation for me.

DOTM Specialist Ratchet for $10.00.

Excellent mold imo, with one exception. The arms are a little finicky when converting back to vehicle mold as there is a little tab behind his waist that they have to clip on to.

Side by side comparison with ROTF Rescue Ratchet:
Bot mode:
  • Roughly same size as Rescue Ratchet.
  • Kibble on back and shoulders integrates a little bit better on the Specialist Ratchet.
  • No large pieces of kibble hanging off his waist.
  • Hands support standard 5mm weapons.
Vehicle mode:
  • Smaller than Rescue Ratchet.
  • Appears to be a pickup modified into a Fire Rescue/Ambulance (Rescue Ratchet was a converted Humvee.)
  • Three available MechTech ports (Two are hidden under panels.)
  • lots of nice silver paint.
  • headlights and searchlights not painted in correct colours, overhead racks and front grill not painted.
  • No obvious bot pieces hanging from the undercarriage.
Overall a great figure, very Ratchet-like, though I would have preferred the mold in rescue Ratchet's colours as a G1 homage.
