Re: Movie Talk (Possible Spoilers)
Saw WW tonight and I have to concur with the rest. It's the DCEU's best production to date. Not moody like BvS, good balance of character development vs story pacing.
For once, it feels like a DC film had a sense of its own identity and carried itself well. While Marvel does a good job of balancing upbeat comic fun, humor and action, this one does a better job of making the viewer feel empathy for the protagonist. Not that Marvel does a poor job of making the viewer care about their protagonists, but their characters are better understood than they are heartfelt, IMO.
Really up hope the DCEU keeps going with this formula. If they keep this up, JLA will be done right! Not a DC fanboy by any stretch of the imagination, always grew up more with Marvel heroes, but if DC can get similar success, the viewers still win with more good content to see.

Guys, is Wonder Woman appropriate for an 11 year old girl?

Should be OK. The action is pretty comic bookish. There are some pretty intense scenes of WWI-era trench and ground warfare. Nothing bloody or gory, but psychologically intense. But these are offset by WW conquering the baddies in breathtaking ways.
There is also some depiction of suffering (a village gets ransacked off screen) which facilitates WW's compassion and caring.
Lots of strong female warriors at Themyscira in the first act which should be great for her to see.
Don't forget to remind her that WW isn't the only inspirational female in the movie...the director Patty Jenkins is the biggest hero IMO.

Went with my wife and daughter to see WW this weekend. We all thought it was just ok. Nothing special. Don't think I would ever watch it again.

Re: Movie Talk (Possible Spoilers)
I saw Wonder Woman last night and loved it. Easily the best movie DC has put out in years, if they could make more films like this they might actually be able to compete with Marvel. Still trying to decide how it fairs compared to other Super Hero movies I've seen this year, i think I liked it better than Guardians, but maybe not quite as much as Logan.

Re: Movie Talk (Possible Spoilers)
Ok, I was able to check out a few moves last week.
Beauty and the Beast (live action)- Was a fun movie and fairly well done. Emma Watson was delightful as Belle and the musical numbers were fun. All that said, I still don't really care for these live action movies of cartoon classics.
The Lego Batman Movie- I wasn't in a big rush to see this movie, but enjoyed it none the less. Seems like they had to shoehorn the "Lego" aspect of it, but the story was more than enough to carry it. The Family aspect of it was a bit odd though.
Wonder Woman- Loved it. Rivals any other Comic Book movie for top spot and easily the best DCU movie to date. Yes it fell apart a bit by the end, but still was enjoyable to in its entirely. My wife, who doesn't like these movies, really liked it too.
Logan- One word; Intense. X-23 was amazing and I would love if they did a movie with a teenage version.
