Re: avgn: transformers

I was hoping he'd get to the G1 PS2 game. Not retro enough?

Re: avgn: transformers

There was another Transformers game I thought he was going to cover. I think it was for the Commodore as well. All I remember was it was hard as hell too.

Damn... I wish I could remember some detail of that one.

Re: avgn: transformers

Ah Mystery of Convoy........ back in 1996 with A.T.T (Alt.Toys.Transformers) me and Crazy Steve put together a 100% complete sprite sheet of the entire game...... I still have it somewhere too in .bmp. The nerd has 3 other 80s G1 games to do also. The Commondore 64 one he reviewed was actually the 2nd one.

- The Transformers (the 1st one for Commondore 64) came in both tape and B drive form
- The Transformers: Battle to save Earth (The one AVGN reviewed) also both tape and B drive
- Super Lifeforms Transformers: Mystery of Convoy (or Comboy) (again what the AVGN reviewed)
- Super Lifeforms Transformers: Headmasters (For the Famicom Disk System, he talked about it for a momemt)

We would not get a TF game for YEARS after that. Back in the SNES days there was talk about it in EGM Magazine to be be alongside G2's surge, but it never happened.

TFs would return to the gaming world with the Playstation/PC game Beast Wars (which was...... well....... sigh.....)

Anyhow I can go on and on...... but I rather that for a podcast or TFcon panel
