86' Movie Theatre experience - was it worth it?

Recently saw the 1986 The Transformers: the Movie in theatres for the first time ever...was it worth it? I think the answer is obvious, but, man, those couple of bonuses were nice to make it feel more like an experience too!

Yup. And I took a buddy who’d never seen it. Added bonus!

Really? Never? What did he think? Did you think the bonuses helped or hindered the overall experience?

Re: 86' Movie Theatre experience - was it worth it?

I only watched the opening bonus. It was alright, but I mean we saw the same shots of bumblebee like three times between the teaser trailer, the intro to the feature, and then the short clip. It was a bit much.

He liked it but was surprised how it is just relentless. Like the first hour there is zero pause between anything. I felt it too, as normally I think of it in terms of scenes, but never all at once. It would have been great to have *some* pause somewhere in there. Animation budgets, I guess!
