I have a question. What remold of Soundwave would you display with Classics/Generations/Universe Classics?

I have my War For Cybertron currently as my classics soundwave

I would either use music label blue soundwave (which I unfortunately don't have), or Cybertron soundwave (who was repainted into universe 2.0 Blaster).

If you want to go with a third party product you could use Sonicron, but most people seem to not like that mold very much.

I saw a Cybertronian Soundwave at Zellers for 14.99 today, should i pick him up? His robot mode is cool, but why does he transform into a vehicle instead of a tape deck?

War For Cybertron Soundwave is decent, with the main drawback being that he doesn't have any cassetticons to store in his chest. This oversight is being addressed, however.

EDIT: He transforms into a vehicle because a) this is supposed to be what he looked like before he came to Earth and b) kids these days don't know what a tape deck is.

There is a fan made tape deck mode. plus some super tiny 3rd party rumble and frenzy available for him.
