I wouldn't rag on people who have convictions and want to do what they think is best for their kids. Although I do think some education on the market for such figures, was lacking. I am sure a compromise could have been reached.

I was about to bring up the Walking Dead figures. Which is more likely to shock a kid an armless zombie in chains or a guy in a fedora?

It's not advertising drugs to kids. That's like saying figures with guns like the above mentioned Walking Dead figures advertises guns or that the sexy dressed Barbie dolls advertises sex.

Does GI-Joe advertise war? Does Ninja Turtles advertise jumping into toxic waste?

seriously man, a little bag of meth, who does that lol
How does a little kid even know what meth is? When they see a little blue bag, all they see is a piece of blue plastic. The only way they'll know it's meth is if someone tells them.

And even if they do know, is that going to make them go out and be a meth head?

If a kid sees and handles a bottle of whiskey, does that mean they'll become an alcoholic?

The only thing that offends me about the breaking bad figures is that they have the nerve to call these shitty statues action figures

These figures were supposed to be in the adult collectors section. There is no reason for them to be banned

Never thought of it that way. Interesting point.

Rev, that's part of the problem: 'their' kids. What was best for 'their' kid was for 'their parents' to not buy them 'those toys'. Instead this Mom goes off an complains. I actually blame TRU for having a knee-jerk response. There's an adult section in TRU?...wtf? Since when, and why don't I know about it?

People can buy all sorts of weird, controversial stuff at TRU. Do we ban them all for the sake of 'the children'?...what about the Ouija boards? The McFarlane toys?

You know, I take it back: TRU needs the reprimand, no the Mom.

I guess the BB toys are going to get new ebay status of 'rare, BANNED items!' with a 300% mark up Oh well, I won't be buying em, not for me OR my kids.

I didn't know Toys R Us had an adult collectors section. Is it in the back of the store behind a red curtain or something?
