I just don't see why some people would consider this Megatron as an MP stand-in, especially with it's standing next to MP-10 or MP-13. The overall proportion and aesthetics are just off, but it's the design and engineering that give it away.

Still, it's better than hollow Jetfire...just not MP.

mine stands with my MP as Apollyon just does nothing for me and the more I hear it is a POS the more I want the DX9 upgrade for this to come out to make it more of an MP and I am seriously considering selling my Apollyon when it gets here.

I've got this pre-ordered, mostly because I blinked during the half a second the Hasbro version was available at retail and want to make sure I get some version of this character. Seems like a lateral move from the NA release, though. That version had too much red in inappropriate places (like that hinge piece near the neck) while this one suffers the opposite problem and is a bit too plain.

Hasbro Megatron's extra colours and paint apps are supposed to be homaging the IDW More Than Meets The Eye Megatron (which the mold is also supposed to be mimicking), and Takara went with a G1 look since the collectors there won't really identify much with the IDW comics.
