LOL agreed...

For newer tfs that I like, I buy 2 of each. Transform them once to verify that they have no factory defects, leave one in robot mode and leave the other one in alt mode. No need to transform them again afterwards and potentially/accidentally break them.

Re: Just a little breakage

I broke ROTF Scalpel just by buying him (2 balljoints cracked/broken right out of the package, 2 more broke within minutes).

I've broken tons of TFs. A lot as a kid (accidentally, I wasn't a "Sid" type kid) and a few as an adult. It happens.

PM me if you're interested in working out a trade!

Re: Just a little breakage

Very recently the head (very easily) snapped off my Tantrum figure from the 2010 Predaking Reissue set.
I've glued it back on, but it's not the same

Re: Just a little breakage

Off the top of my head...

RID Prowl: ball joint socket cracked

Animated Deluxe Bumblebee: ball joint socket cracked

EZ Transcanning Hyper Hobby Bumblebee - clear arm socket cracked... both sides

United Sons of Cybertron Clear Rodimus: hairline fractures in one clear arm socket after ONE Transformation and Combination with FP Crystal Protector armour...

Anyone see a TREND here? At least Fansproject understands, the Crystal Protector set has a red clear plastic with a bit of a rubbery "give" to it.

Because of my bad experiences with Takara/Tomy clear products I am afraid to open and transform my eHobby United Clear Decepticon set now...

The two other notable breaks I had included snapping the tip of a rear window off my friend's Alternity Megatron (notoriously fragile line)

and last but not least... breaking the arm off SPIKE from my Fort Max showing some kid how Headmasters were interchangeable!!!

Re: Just a little breakage

Same part broke off my DOTM Megs, except that it was it was somehow melted in to the plastic from the package so it broke off when I opened it.

Re: Just a little breakage

By my own, accidental fault, the handle for Leader Class Sentinel Prime's shield snapped right off.

This.

TM Megatron: Snapped at the waist and arm hinge. Had it for years and never had any issues. Even after I found out about the GPS issues I still went to transform it and was thinking "nah, it will be fine, Megs has always been good to me." Nope.

KO Clear Classics Optimus Prime: Hip piece connecting to the left leg snapped. Clear plastic on KO are made of really poor plastic. Never again.

MP Rodimus: Left ankle snapped. I seem to be the only one with this problem. Guess I was really unlucky and perhaps just got a bad egg.

Re: Just a little breakage

TM2 Megatron, trying to put him on display in dragon mode, snapped off a leg and it never quite fit the same after that.

G1 Mirage, after a huge haul, was going through some G1s that I never had as a kid, Mirage snapped in half at the waist.

G1 Lightspeed, was taking Computron apart for a sale that I made and snapped off the front of the car mode.

Yeah, things happen even if you try to be careful...

Re: Just a little breakage

Similar to everyone else...

G1 Sinnertwin's head
G1 Lightspeed at the waist (as a kid)

And recently I cracked the little red dump truck in the ROTF Legends Devy...it was a minor crack easily fixed with CA.
