Transformers Gets Snubbed at Oscars
And the winner for visual effects is........The Golden Compass. Wow, the Oscars are soooo lame and so unappreciative of revolutionary visual effects that it boggles my mind. Star Wars Episode 1 never won and now neither did Transformers..............I wonder if they even watch the films.........

Re: Transformers Gets Snubbed at Oscars
Years from now, people will regard Transformers for elevating visual FX. I'm not so sure the same can be said about the Golden Compass. Transformers 2 hits us in 09 so maybe it'll be treated better then.

Re: Transformers Gets Snubbed at Oscars
Star Wars 3 never was nominated for Visual Effects, and neither were any of the 2 Final Fantasy films.. No visual, not even animated.
Oscars are biased and weak. I say we hold the Cybertron.ca Film Awards!!

Re: Transformers Gets Snubbed at Oscars
Upon hearing the bad news, Michael Bay exploded. No survivors. Eyewitnesses report it was "awesome".

I knew this a long time ago, I don't even tune in to see who wins best picture any more, I just don't care.
As far as I'm concerned Transformers has the best visual effects out of any movie that I seen last year, and no academy is going to tell me other wise.

Just spoke to my former classmates and some of my animation teachers and they agree Transformers should have taken it. The Academy are biased towards drama dealing with discrimination/minorities, and fantasy-setting stuff. Or they hate Michael Bay.

Re: Transformers Gets Snubbed at Oscars
Oscars never had any credibility. I don't know why this year would have been any different.
