Transformers You Secretly Love

hey guys, Mal here with a topic that will hopefully generate some good discussion....one can only hope


You know these figures; everyone you talk to says they're complete crap, not to buy them and to shun Hasbro for even bringing them into existence...

yet you on the other hand, while saying outwardly you also hate the figure, sorta have a soft spot for it and even own one you proudly display.

So my question is; what is the figure/figures that you own that you sometimes don't want others knowing you have?


For me it's two;

forst off is the Universe LIO CONVOY (Leo prime just sounds retarded ). I just adore the mold design, and the new Target white repaint just adds something to it that you quickly fall in love with.

The other is Classics Prime....the 2-pack one. Yes...that one; with the "spinning upper body of DOOM(c)" gimmick.

To be honest, after you "disable" the spinning gimmick, he's actually a nice little Prime toy, and I have quickly grown to like him. But 2-pack Megs....you go to hell

so, what are your secret TF fetish figures? XD (hopefully "fetish" was the right choice of words)

Classics Universe Megatron, I know he turns into a nerf style gun, but I find the transformation to be really well done. Also a big fan of the animated activators, they have a lot of detail for there small size.

I'm going to go with the 2007 movie Cyber Slammers! They are stupid looking and annoying as hell to keep locked in place but god help me I love those little guys! Kinda gives me some of that jumpstarter nostalgia (also I keep finding them dirt cheap at Value Village)

I have him with the ashes of a very missed cat that was my best friend for many years. Cheetor acts as his Sphinx.

I also quite like the Classics Deluxe 2-pack Prime. A very show-accurate robot mode (second only to 20th Anniversary Prime in terms of figures that've had a domestic release) with some great articulation. His vehicle mode is kinda crap, but it's not really any worse than Robot Masters Convoy or THS-02, and it has some neat touches like the way the wheels fold up into his sides. I also love the way his eyes have pupils moulded into them; makes him look a lot more expressive.

I also think that Universe Galvatron is a very under-rated toy. Really, the only problem I have with mine is that the turret is hard to transform and the chest/head won't stay up in robot mode. I love the complexity of this figure and how different the robot mode is from the vehicle mode.

Still, it'd have been nicer if it were a bit bigger.
