Re: Yikes!

Yeah, I don't blame some of you with FAR bigger collections than what I have for not wanting to even think about what the total worth could be since it is indeed quite the reality check... for better or worse depending how you look at it. I guess the one plus side is that (I would hope) no one actually paid anywhere close to the same amount of what their collections could be worth now. That angle makes it a bit of an easier pill to swallow, hehe.

Personally speaking, I've never looked at my collection as a big $ sign since I've never thought to resell it for financial gain - IE: I rarely keep anything MIB, not even my doubles of figures - but I guess it's nice to know what kind of roundabout value it has for current insurance purposes as well as the possibility of resale in another 20 years when I'm in my 50's and likley won't need a bunch of toys on display anymore. Assuming of course that I don't just pass it down to any kids I may have one day instead... or be buried with them... whatever comes first

Re: Yikes!

I could not sell my collection for as much as it would then cost me to replace it. Which I would.

Therefore I win in the end.

Re: Yikes!

I've got about $2000 worth in my living room. Still got my display cabinet and storage, but I just counted what I could see (counting what I paid for each fig). I'd figure total estimate about $5000-6000, something like that.

More than I should have and less than enough to be impressive.
