Still available for pre-order at BBTS for $80 U.S.

Long sold out on TTM. Limited to 2000 for Japan only.

It's expected to show up there, current speculation is it'll be $79 CAD before the TRU imposed markup. :T

OT: Been rocking TT MP-10 for a bit, the guy is a beauty, but I'm concerned about the chrome and forearm paint wearing over time. Are there any reds/yellows/silvers that'd color match well enough for light touching up?

I have Tamiya Chrome Silver (X-11) and Red (X-7) on hand. Meant to use them to fix my Chogokin Daizyujin's chin, but haven't had time. :P

Here I was hoping it was going to be a available at retailers like Bluestreak was. Guess that's some funds I don't have to worry about spending anytime soon.

IIRC, 2000 is the number being sold in Japan, with more being available to the rest of the Asian market through Hasbro Asia, just as with MP-18B. I could be wrong, but I doubt Takara's not going to milk this cash cow.

Making a limited number of blue Bluestreaks makes sense as far fewer people care about it, but limiting the number of the first Takara TC from the MP-11 mould makes no sense at all.

No word from Hasbro Asia yet, but the Hasbro MP TC was available at TRU in other region back in 2012 except Japan so it may not make sense for TT to make more?

Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread

Thanks DesertDog, I remember reading that when the news first broke about being released. He is scheduled for a later Asian release, I guess like Skywarp was released so hopefully we'll be able to get him without any trouble.

For chrome, there really isn't paint that can help with that. For silver paint I use Flat Aluminum. I find it less clumpy than their Chrome Silver. For the other areas, those you mentioned might work, but if the colour is not an exact match, you can always create it yourself. Sometimes the colour may match but the finish doesn't. That's why there are different variations of each colour like flat, semi-gloss, gloss, metallic. You could always mix a few paints together too. Always good to have a white and black on hand. Also I use a drop of Flat Aluminum to add a metallic finish to any custom colours. Get the Tamiya acrylic paint thinner too. It make it easier to control the consistency and dry time.
