Awesome movie! I watched it just last week.

If I had known today was the anniversary I would have watched it today, and done something special...a cake seems appropriate.

Re: Friday August 8, 1986

I think I saw it (with the entire family) in September or late August. Given how I remember the weather being. First movie I ever saw in a theatre. And my mom had to try and explain death to 5 yearold me when Prime died.

I like the movie, Best thing out of G1 imo, but I wasn't even 2 years old when this came out, so I definitely didn't see back then. I can't really remember when I first saw the movie though.

Re: Friday August 8, 1986

Surely I was not alive back then to watch it in theatres, but I do remember watching the G1 movie on New Year's Eve 2004 on YTV.

I'd have to say, great movie, but man, Prime, Starscream, Ironhide, Ratchet, we lost a lot of characters in this movie, characters that were fan faves as well.

Re: Friday August 8, 1986

about a week later, I would walk into my theater in a ghetto mall with my next door neighbor and everything would be changed forever.

Re: Friday August 8, 1986

I didn't know about today's significance, but by sheer coincidence my Titanium Rodimus Prime that I ordered from a B/S/T thread a while back arrived today, and I spent much time fiddling around with it, so you could say I celebrated unknowingly.

I also watched the end of the movie again to see how show-accurate the toy was (answer: not very, but it gets the spirit right which is the important thing.)

I wasn't even a month old at the time, but I got to see it 19 years later... at the York library, when I should have been studying.
