but seriously Super Glue brand makes an acrylic epoxy which works pretty well (called Plastic Fusion).

In my experience, Tamiya cement works best with plastics. I would also suggest maybe using putty?

Plasticweld works get but it really smells bad. It actually melts the plastic fusing it together.

Fletching glue for archery is a very strong type of adhesive. May want to try that. You can get it at BassPro.

lepages and permatex both make a two part plastic glue/weld epoxy that will repair almost anything lepages is a tube like superglue with a primer/prep in a small glass bottle and will actully weld the pieces,... permatex makes a automotive glue ( for repairing plastic componets of all typesof plastic.. as well as plastic bumpers) much the same super strong,.....it has toxic fumes to be aware of but it will repair broken plastics your local jobber will have some

Sometimes I brings my son's toys for repair at my job and I use it with good result most of the time.
It's not available at retail, mostly available for industrial purpose. It's better and quicker than most of the retail superglue. However it's easy to make a mess if you apply too much and be sure to place your parts the good way because it hold very fast. It's not the best for clipping parts (if you clip and unclip frequently) or for other parts exposed to big stress.

This is the best! Unfortunately my supply of loctite is now a few years old (actually, a few years past the expiry date), and last time I used it, it didn't seem to be sticking to the plastic.

I'll give it another try next time I have to fix something, but might have to find a new source to hook me up.

Update: fail.
I used the plastic weld on a couple things, some with bigger surfaces and of course on red alert. The wider the surface obviously better. Red alert however was just too small of a footprint to hold. Both tabs popped off right away with little force. Oh well, I don't transform my MPs much anyhow so no biggie. Thank for all the suggestions, who knows, with recent rumours maybe I'll be able to buy a Hasbro mp red alert one day.
